Terms of service

TechSafe Etc is an independent UK service, operated by its founding team while the operating company is being established. It provides a platform for managing IT asset disposal: raising disposal requests, assigning them to approved destructors, and storing the resulting compliance documents with an audit trail.

TechSafe Etc is a records and workflow platform. The physical collection and destruction of equipment is carried out by the assigned destructor, under whatever contract exists between the client, the destructor and us for that work.

Accounts go live only after we have reviewed and approved a sign-up, and every account belongs to an organisation. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for the actions taken under your account. The platform records those actions as part of the compliance trail. Organisation administrators are responsible for who they invite and for suspending access when someone leaves.

You may not attempt to access another organisation's data, probe or disrupt the service, upload malicious files, or use the platform for anything other than managing IT asset disposal. We may suspend accounts that do.

Documents you upload remain your organisation's property. We store them to provide the service and do not use them for anything else. Compliance documents attached to completed disposals are retained permanently unless the client organisation that owns them instructs otherwise in writing.

We aim to keep the platform available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We will give reasonable notice of planned maintenance where possible.

The platform is provided on an "as is" basis during its pilot phase. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with the service is limited to the fees your organisation paid for it in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Physical collection and destruction of equipment is carried out by the assigned destructor, and responsibility for that work sits with whoever contracted to perform it. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

We may update these terms from time to time and will notify account holders of material changes. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
